ACS Wins Best Loyalty Programme in Smart Awards Asia 2015

HONG KONG, 29 April 2015 - Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 8210), Asia Pacific's top supplier and one of the world's top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), won the Best Loyalty Programme Award in Smart Awards Asia 2015 on 22 April in Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore. Mr Gordon Lee, Sales Manager, represented ACS to receive the award.
Smart Awards Asia recognizes excellence in the smart card, payment, and retail industries. ACS’s winning entry is e-PLUS Tap to Pay (e-PLUS), a loyalty, payment, and Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system developed based on NFC (Near Field Communications) technology for SM Prime Holdings Inc., the largest mall operator, developer, and retail company in the Philippines.
e-PLUS unifies multiple merchants and applications in one platform, increasing the array of options and benefits available to consumers. e-PLUS also widens reach for merchants, providing them with a way to offer perks to a broader customer base, while fulfilling other marketing strategic needs.
“This project is a result of effective collaboration with our client, which has enabled us to design a system that delivers sophisticated benefits to a country where NFC has not yet hit the mainstream,” says Gordon. “This award should be credited not only to the technologies that we have developed in-house, but the amount of thought and effort that we put to tailor these technologies to the needs and environments of end users.”
