A device as small as a USB thumb drive, ACR38U PocketMate is designed to transform into a reader for full-sized smart cards with a single swivel motion.

ACR38U PocketMate is a smart card reader with an unconventional design. With a single push, the device swivels to reveal a slot for a full-sized smart card and can be used with any PC to access various smart card applications, including e-Government, e-Banking and e-Payment, e-Healthcare and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) applications. Housing the ACR38 core, ACR38U PocketMate supports ISO 7816 Class A, B, and C cards, microprocessor cards with T=0 and T=1 protocol and various types of memory cards. It also has compliance with international standards, such as PC/SC, CCID, RoHS, CE, FCC and Microsoft WHQL. With its Plug-and-Play feature, it enables driverless operations once it is connected to the PC via its USB 2.0 Full Speed Interface.
