Compliant with the GSM 11.11 specification, ACR38ET is an extremely compact high speed USB device compatible with the ACR38 smart card reader, and is designed to access SIM-sized smart cards (Plug-in cards). Now compliant with the CCID specification, ACR38ET offers a plug-and-play solution that eliminates the need for driver installation and driver-system compatibility assessment. With its small size, it can be easily plugged into the PC’s USB port and requires no additional cable or wiring, making it perfectly suitable for smart card-based applications in the PC environment.

ii) Serves as a contactless card:
While its SIM-sized card feature enables contact card security benefits, the ACR38ET also functions largely as a Mifare® card token. Utilizing this feature, one can benefit from the speed and convenience contactless technology brings.

Enabling data storage segregation, in which contact card information is stored in the SIM card while contactless card information, in the reader itself, the ACR38ET allows one to have a highly secure system.
