Smart Card Alliance Declares ACS a Center of Excellence

HONG KONG, 12 October, 2015 - Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 2086), Asia Pacific's top supplier and one of the world's top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), was designated as a Center for Excellence (COE) by the Smart Card Alliance (SCA). The designation was awarded to ACS on 5 October 2015, during the October Smart Card Alliance Member Meeting. Bob Merkert, ACS President for the Americas, received the award in behalf of ACS.
SCA describes COEs as “an elite mix of member organizations who, each year, reach the highest level of active participation in the Alliance by having made outstanding contributions in the form of organization-wide leadership of time, talent and resources across a wide mix of Alliance activities.”
In 2014, ACS was elected as a steering committee member for two SCA Industry Councils: Health and Human Services, and Access Control. Industry Councils are focused groups comprised of SCA member organizations. They are created to foster greater industry collaboration to benefit a specific industry or market segment. ACS has also been a consistent speaker, exhibitor, and contributor to SCA conferences and events.
