ACS providing Smart Card Technology Training to The Chinese University of Hong Kong

ACS Hong Kong, 2 Jun 2008 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (HONG KONG STOCK Exchange: 8210, www.acs.com.hk), Asia Pacific's number one supplier in PC-linked smart card readers industry (Source: research report issued by Frost & Sullivan), provided a 2-day Smart Card Technology Training to the Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The training took place in the headquarters of ACS with ACS Chief Technical Officer, Keng Boon Tan being the main trainer.

CUHK, founded in 1963, is one of the leading universities in Asia. It has over 10 years of successful experience in contact smartcard applications for identification, access control, administrative transactions as well as storing tokens for on-campus facilities. The university is now exploring the contactless smart card technology to further improve and enhance the services. The training not only deepened the university’s knowledge on contactless smart card technology and application, but also gave insights particularly on the system design of multi-application campus card. Each participant of the training program was provided with a ACR120 smart card development kit (https://www.acs.com.hk/acr120-sdk.php) as a hands-on tool for the training.
