ACR83 In high security environments, a so called Secure PIN Entry card reader is required. The ACR83 Secure PIN Entry personal card reader allows the user to enter the PIN on the Card Reader PIN PAD (Class 2 or higher), away from the untrusted PC or workstation. The ACR83 SPE personal card reader will send this PIN directly to the smart card for authentication, thus the PIN is never exposed to the untrusted PC or workstation. It can successfully to eliminate the possibility that a Virus/Trojan or USB Sniffer gets hold of the PIN.

Fits on the palm of your hand, ACR83 is one of the smallest USB class 2 readers in the market. All you have to do is to plug in the reader to standard USB port from the PC, insert the smart card, wait for the command to be displayed in the LCD and securely enter your PIN using the built-in 14-key keypad.
