  • ACS a Speaker in Cardware 2014: Payment and Digital ID Insights

Bob Merkert, ACS President for the Americas, presented a paper about prepaid and loyalty solutions, using as a case study the e-PLUS, an end-to-end solution provided by ACS to SM, the largest mall developer, operator, and retail company in the Philippines. The e-PLUS system includes a contactless stored value card. In SM malls, the card may be used for cashless payments in cinemas, parking facilities, amusement centers, food courts, and so forth.     HONG KONG, 28 July, 2014 - Advanced Card Systems Ltd. HSPD-12 (Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12) was signed by US President George W. Bush in August 2004 to create a mandatory standard for IDs issued by the US government to its employees and employees of federal contractors.   • ACS Launches ACR39T-A1 and ACR39T-A3

    HONG KONG, 13 August, 2014 - Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd., SEHK: 8210), Asia Pacific's top supplier and one of the world's top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), today launched two new readers for SIM-sized smart cards: ACR39T-A1, a PC-linked reader, and ACR39T-A3, a mobile card reader. Both readers support ISO 7816 SIM-sized smart cards, GSM 11.11-compliant cards, various memory cards, and microprocessor cards with T=0 and T=1 protocol. Upon request, both devices can also support micro-SIM‒sized cards. These ultra-portable devices are compliant and certified with major international standards, including CE, FCC, RoHs and WHQL, and have a read/write speed of 600 Kbps.
