ACS joined the competition for the Machinery and Machine Tools Design division, and was honored by the Certificate of Merit for its eH880 terminal which was designed for use in electronic health card systems. To select the winner, the Judging Panel, comprised of professionals and experts in relevant areas of the industry, evaluated the entries based on the following criteria: Innovation Application of technology Functionality Ergonomics Cost-performance Marketing Safety Environmental impact The eH880 was considered outstanding by the Judging Panel in all the above mentioned criteria. In addition, the Panel made a noteworthy mention of the eH880 being a secure smart card terminal dedicated to the eHealth market. The device is capable of facilitating secure mutual authentication, displaying detailed and multiple-layered information, and facilitates transactions through both private and public network infrastructures. Moreover, the product is ergonomically designed and capable of supporting additional features such as WiFi access and biometric fingerprint sensor. The HKAI Award Presentation Ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on 18 Jan, 2010. Mr. Denny Wong, Chairman & CEO of ACS (picture on the left) was present to receive the award on behalf of the company.
