ACOS5-EVO, is the latest addition to the ACOS5 Series, a series of cryptographic smart card module from ACS especially designed for PKI and digital signature applications. ACOS5-EVO supports an additional cryptographic algorithm, ECC, also known as ECDSA, on top of the existing RSA algorithm. These cryptographic algorithms are essential in public-key cryptographic operations that can be used for the emerging technologies, such as blockchain technology.
Providing support for hash algorithms including SHA1, SHA224, SHA256, SHA312, SHA512, 3DES-CMAC and AES-CMAC, ACOS5-EVO brings about a more secure encryption methods. It also provides extended APDU support and enables faster communication by supporting high communication speed of up to 446,400 bps for ICC Interface and up to 424 kbps for PICC Interface.
ACOS5-EVO is available in contact, combi and contactless interfaces. It is fully compliant with ISO 7816 parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and ISO 14443 Parts 1-4 Type A. It also complies with international standards for PKI smart cards such as FIPS 140-2 (US Federal Information Processing Standards) Level 3 and CC EAL 5+ (chip level).
