How do I know if I’ve successfully installed the ACR83 driver?
When you plug in the device, you can check in the Windows Device manager if the driver has been properly installed. The Device Manager should list ACR83 Smart Card Reader under Smart Card Readers.

What are the contactless cards supported by ACR122/ACR1222?
ACR122/ACR1222 NFC readers support MIFARE® cards (Classics, DESFire), ISO14443 Types A and B, FeliCa cards, and NFC tags Type 1-4, with the exception of ACR1222U-J4 FeliCa Web-To Reader, which only supports FeliCa Mobile phones with versions 1.0 and 2.0. Note, however, that we are working on enhancing ACR1222U-J4 to support NFC-enabled phones, and will announce NFC-compatible versions, once they are ready.

ACR1222L is a USB NFC Reader with LCD that comes with various built-in peripherals: 4 LEDs, Buzzer and a 2-Line Graphic LCD that provides users a clear indication of the reader, card or operation status. Its PC/SC compliance in all reader interfaces and firmware upgradability offer interoperability and support for post-deployment firmware updates, respectively. ACR1222U-J4 is a device specifically designed to support FeliCa Mobile devices in Japan, and is used mainly for mobile marketing.
