How do I know if drivers were installed successfully?
Go to Windows Device Manager (Start > Control Panel > Device Manager). For lower OS versions, navigate through Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. The AET62 and Touchstrip sensor should be listed under the smart card readers device type with the following entries: In the same way the AET65 must be listed under the smart card reader device type: The entries must not be accompanied by yellow exclamation marks (!), such as those shown below. Otherwise, please refer to “How do I troubleshoot problems with driver installation”.

How do I update my current driver?
If the driver installer is available, you just have to click on the Setup.exe file inside the driver installer folder. However, if only the driver is available, do the following:1. Go to Windows Device Manager.2. Right-click on the AET62 or AET65 sub-entry of Smart card readers.3. Choose Update Driver from the menu that comes up.4. Choose to manually locate and install the appropriate driver. Note: It is best to first uninstall previously installed drivers prior to installing a new one.

How is a standalone application developed using ACR89 system?
The Software Development Kit will provide a tool that is used to compile a program written in C programming language using Free RT operating system. The kit will also provide a sample application demo as well. How do I know if I’ve successfully installed the ACR83 driver?
When you plug in the device, you can check in the Windows Device manager if the driver has been properly installed. The Device Manager should list ACR83 Smart Card Reader under Smart Card Readers.
