How do I install the ACR122/ACR1222 driver to my system?
USB devices (i.e. ACR122U, ACR122T and ACR1222L) use CCID drivers, therefore installation can be done through Windows Update. In case the Windows Update is not available, please download the driver from the ACS website: http://acs.com.hk/en/drivers/. Serial devices (i.e. ACR122S and ACR122L), require libraries for high-level programming, which are available from the ACS website: http://acs.com.hk/en/drivers/. For low-level programming, no drivers or libraries are needed. Lastly, the ACR1222U-J4 requires driver installation when changing the URL or updating the firmware. The CCID driver installation can be done through Windows Update.

Can I perform peer-to-peer operation from an NFC Reader and an NFC-enabled phone?
It is possible to have the ACS NFC Readers work peer-to-peer with NFC-enabled phones using low-level programming and to have the NFC Logical Link Control Protocol (LLCP) and NFC Simple NDEF Exchange Protocol (SNEP) handled on the application side. Please refer to the NFC Forum’s website for more information: http://www.nfc-forum.org .

How can I store NDEF data to an NFC tag using an ACS NFC Reader?
Different NFC tags have their own Application Note document on how to store NDEF data into the tag. The data (e.g. URL, business card, etc.) needs to be formatted first with the help with the Application Note. When the data is formatted using NDEF, it can then be written on the tag using the ACS NFC Reader.
