ACR88 uses proprietary script language which imposes more limitations on functions and programmable size. Meanwhile, ACR89, having embedded FreeRTOS, uses C language, which is familiar to many users. C language also has more flexible functions and larger programmable size than those provided by the ACR88. The multi-tasking environment provided by FreeRTOS also makes it easier to develop complex applications.
