ACS participates in CARTES in Asia 2011
HONG KONG, 29 Apr, 2011 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. ACS showcased its wide range of smart card and reader products in the exhibition and joined the Health & e-service conference where ACS Sales Director, Mr. Gilbert Leung, delivered a speech on the company’s behalf. CARTES in Asia 2011 is the second edition of the regional exhibition in Asia Pacific. ACS offers new payment solutions at Cards Asia 2011
HONG KONG, 9 May 2011 – Advanced Card Systems Ltd. This reader is capable of detecting the CEPAS C.A.N. automatically and efficiently, allowing users to proceed with their transactions with ease. Meanwhile, ACS Sales Director Gilbert and ACS Regional Sales Manager Gordon were invited as speakers in the event’s conferences. Gilbert delivered a speech on online banking security via two-factor authentication, highlighting the role of the MasterCard CAP (Chip Authentication Program) / PLA (Perso-less Authentication) in eliminating the risks of online identity theft effectively. "Utilizing this standard along with a secure physical device, such as a one-time password generator, an EMV card and a user’s personal PIN," explained Gilbert, “online banking patrons can be more effectively safeguarded from even more sophisticated security attacks that may render simple two-factor authentication inadequate.” On the other hand, Gordon presented a lecture on single card solutions, citing Singapore’s CEPAS contactless e-purse application standard as a business case that the world can emulate in implementing multiple applications by using a single card. He emphasized on the benefits of extending the use of contactless cards from purely transport-based applications to other payment and non-payment applications, including retail payment and loyalty programs, recreational services, and physical and logical access control. ACS's ACR1281U contactless smart card reader obtains certification for German national e-ID program

ACS introduces new ACOS5-64 and CryptoMate64 cryptographic smart cards for seamless smart card security

ACS reports 45% increase in sales for first half year of 2012
Hong Kong, 10 Aug, 2012 – Advanced Card Systems Holdings Ltd. (ACS, SEHK: 8210), mother company of Advanced Card Systems Limited, Asia Pacific’s number 1 supplier and one of the world’s top 3 suppliers of PC-linked smart card readers (Source: Frost & Sullivan), announces its financial results for the first half year of 2012. For the first half year of 2012, the sales revenue amounted to US$9.3 million, 45% higher than the corresponding figure of US$6.4 million in the first half year of 2011. The net profit before tax increased to US$0.9 million from US$41 thousand.
